It has been such a long time since our last post, and so much has happened! I don't have time to share it all with you now, but I wanted to post anyhow to let you all know that we are hanging in there and anxiously awaiting a fresh start that is coming soon.

We have made some decisions lately that really don't make sense to the world or our own fleshly minds! We have shaken up our priorities and set some things straight. It's scary! It's exciting! But most of all, it is right! We are being set free day by day.We have so much to learn still, and so much to heal. So, your prayers would be greatly appreciated.
I want to share a song with you that describes my life over the past year and a half. It's a song by Jason Gray called, For the First Time Again. I can really relate to the second verse of the song at this particular point in my life. Give it a listen, and I hope that you will learn that it is never too late for a fresh start...for new life again! Don't be afraid to take a risk and step out into all that God has for you.

ReplyDeleteI am proud of you both. When you seek Him and his Kingdom forst and you want to be transformed to His likeness... all these things will be added to you. No matter what those around you think... it is rightful order and I think it is great. When the lord has placed something in your heart, when it is confirmed by his word and even by others than no amount of jeering or misunderstanding can take it from you.
i know we are in very different circumstances but our aim is similar at the moment. God is challenging us to be not of micture - to count the cost pof following Him - He never said it would be easy, in fact He said the opposite!! But the reward is great! count the cost!
In matthew 11 I think it is jesus says wisdom is proved right by her children - in other words when this choice you make to live a certain way gets you laughed at and mocked and called allsports now - and even though it is hard you sticvk to the path and follow His leading... when it bares children/fruit... it cannot be denied as correct decision. We will make unpopular decisions when we run hard after God but when the fruit shows up people will turn and say hey i wanna do that now!!
This scripture has been back on my mind the last days while feeling disheartened in trying to walk the way the lord would have me and the trouble that means in my life right now - I thought it timely to share after reading this post!
In Rev 3 Jesus says;So I advise you to buy gold from me--gold that has been purified by fire
When we stand before Him on judgment day everything that was not Christ centered or conformed to Him will be burned up, what remains and was for Him and in Him - will be prven as gold in the fire.
He says dont wait 'till then to get the gold - be wise.. go throught the refiners fore now.. it may hurt you, count the cost! purchase the gold that you may be rich... and you will know on that day the gold will come through the fire.
I dont want to be one who suffers loss like Paul talked about - I wanna go hard after the gold now :)

ReplyDeleteEven though things are more uncertain than ever and we have a lot less security, I feel more peace than I felt in years!! It is amazing!! God's peace certainly is beyond all understanding!!
It is so incredible that God has connected us over so many miles to support each other as we face similar challenges on our spiritual journey. He is always faithful to provide, and I am amazed at the peace and joy that he is giving me.
