For today's Tuesday's Talk about, I want to talk about "What is church?". I recently took a poll from listeners of the radio station I work for asking the same question. Most of the answers were very similar: God's House, A Place To Worship and Pray, The Gateway To Heaven, A Place to be Filled with the Holy Spirit, and a Place to enter in, with brothers and sisters, to Worship God and then Leave to Serve. Theses were just a few examples.
These answers are all true, but to me church is something a little more. Some may say church is about worship music, but if you take music away the church remains. Others may say church is about preaching or Bible study, but if you take that away the church remains. Still others may define church as the ministries, such as food pantries, block parties, or outreach ministries; however, if you take that away, you will still have the church.
The church is God's children gathering together, not brick and mortar.
You may meet in a home ... You are The Church. You may meet in a school... You are The Church. Wherever you meet, and however you choose to worship... You are The Church.

WHAT IS THE CHURCH???
To me the church is simply a group of believers gathering together to worship God and to serve one another.
