To quote C.S. Lewis, "You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body." So, today, we want to pray for Ember's soul.
Lord, we just want to thank you again for the gift of Ember Faith. We pray that she would come to know you and, as her name suggests, put her faith in you. God, we pray that Ember would learn from us the gift of Your love and the gift of Your Son. We pray that she would have a longing to enter into a relationship with you. Help us to show her what it means to live as a Child of the King, as a soul loved and saved by the Creator. We desire nothing more than to see our daughter eternally saved and living for her Savior. We want her to know the peace and satisfaction that we have found by giving our lives to You. It is not always easy, but it is worth. Lord, You said that through Your death You would draw all men to You (John 12:32), and we pray that you would draw Ember's heart and soul to You...and that You would forever keep her heart and soul in Your hands. This we pray as we await the arrival of this sweet, promised child.
